Greaves transit mixture launching

Morang Auto Works, who is the authorized distributor for Greaves Cotton Limited, one of India’s leading engineering companies with significant presence in global markets introduced transit mixture, for the first time in Nepal. The first mixtures were bought by M/S Chitwan Co. E and M/S Panchakanya Group.

Speaking on the occasion, Company’s Spokes person Mr. Sandip Chachan expressed his confidence that bringing advanced technology in the products will scale up the infrastructure development scenario in Nepal and also help to bring competitive edge to the masses. PEPSI: 1st lucky draw

The year 2008 closed with an overwhelming response to the “Pepsi Meet the Dream Team Campaign” which catapulted Brand Pepsi to be among the top 20 brands of Nepal. Year 2009 Pepsi has come out with a sequel named “Make Your Dream Team” with an objective of building and strengthening on the international imagery and appeal and take it to greater heights of excitement with a strong consumer connect and participation.

Pepsi has set its eye on taking this year’s campaign a step further; by engaging its customers to make their Dream Team - collecting the crowns featuring the top notch International Footballers – the heartthrob of Nepalese fans.

The new Pepsi campaign features international football stars like Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas, Kaka, Lionel Messi, Fernando Torres and Frank Lampard. Together they make the Dream Team.

This year’s Pepsi summer campaign in Nepal kicks off with the airing of a fun-filled TV commercial across all major TV channels, featuring these international football players. Consumers will have to collect the crowns featuring the four of these football stars and win exciting prizes.

At the end of every week, through a lucky draw two of the lucky winners will be entitled to an all expenses paid trip to Bangkok and Pattaya. There are other exciting prizes like I-Pod's, Reebok branded footballs and T- shirts to be won every week. Of course, thousands of others will be able to enjoy their favorite Pepsi, of course free !!

The first Lucky Draw for the campaign was held at Regency Hall,Hotel Yak 'N' Yeti on 14th June,2009 at 3:00pm.The two lucky winners to win a 3 nights/4 days trip to Bangkok and Pataya are Sunil Maharjan from Kathmandu and Khageshwor Giri from Kapilvastu.The next Lucky Draw will be held on 21st June,2009.Congratulations to both of them for being the first two auspicious winners of this year's Pepsi Make Your Dream Team campaign.

United Spirits Nepal distributors meet held

United Spirits Nepal Pvt. Ltd held its 2nd all Nepal Distributors Meet at Gokarna Forest Resort on Saturday, June 14, 2009. This meet was held to mark the success of 90 million cases that was sold worldwide by UB group and 3 lakh cases that was sold across Nepal. Distributors from all across Nepal attend this meet and joined their hands together to celebrate this moment of success. Jharana Thapa who was the guest of honor, graced the occasion with her presence. This meet gave a clear indication of the growing strength of UB group in Nepal. USNPL currently has eight brands under its umbrella and is planning to diversify in the near future by introducing foreign scotches.

As you maybe know, for the 15th year, AFK is organizing the Fête de la Musique between June 20 and 27, 2009.
Below, a small resentation of this event.

The International Music (Day) Week (Fête de la Musique) is a musical event organized every year by the AFK, which will be in fact the International Music Week in 2009, between June 20 and June 27. Today, more than 340 cities in 110 countries World Wide are taking part in this free popular event dedicated to music.

The International Music Day was created by Jack Lang, the French minister for Culture, in 1982 in order to people to share the same passion: MUSIC.

Completely different from a music festival, the "Fête de la Musique" is above all a free popular event, open to any participant (amateur or professional musicians) who wants to perform in it. This Music day allows the expression of all styles of music in a cheerful atmosphere.

In Nepal, the “Fête de la Musique” has become more and more popular.

Last year, on June 21, 2008, they organized this celebration on Durbar Marg, just in front of the old Palace, and this event gather more than 25 000 people during the afternoon. On that occasion, more than 10 bands performed.


They also organized smaller stages with our artistic partners at Kathmandu Jazz Conservatory, Nepali Folk Instrument Museum, Gurukul, Nepal Sangeet Vidhyalaya and Yala Maya Kendra with International Music Society.

In 2008, they were basically able to offer to the public the biggest musical event in Nepal.

This year, it is said that the concept will be a little bit different and they will have the chance to welcome a French band, quite popular in France nowadays, KWAK.

The KWAK concert will be on June 27, 2009, at Nach Ghar, Jamal.
